We have a unique friendship between all of us built on mutual respect for what each of us brings in skill and spirit to the farm. We are aware of each others great value, and hard work, and it takes a village to keep a farm running well and to care well for our horses.
Eduardo Lopez, I often introduce him to new people as the most important guy on the farm, because he is. Also known as my manager, Eduardo keeps everything running like a fine oiled machine. If it needs to be fixed, moved or organized, he's the guy. He is excellent with the care and handling of all of our horses bringing an awareness that you only can have through experience, and he has the right kind. He's consistent at what he does and also proficient. I think Eduardo is the best and we all enjoy working together with him and enjoy his friendship immensely.
Paloma David, My right hand lady, my wing woman, my assistant. Paloma brings a vitality and devotion to horses that is only present when one really loves the pursuit of riding and horsemanship from that deep down place, in the core of ones soul. She possesses a kindness and caring spirit for the horse while in their presence, contributing to our farm the stuff that makes life joyful. Paloma is a talented and hard working young woman that I am proud to guide on the path of classical riding and horsemanship. Its been awesome to watch Paloma do well with the horses and I look forward to watching all of her future successes!
Jason Nichols, Is a client of Traditions Farm and also doubles as a working student. He has a great desire and determination for learning about Classical Horsemanship and because of this is fun to teach and have help and support the training process on the farm. He's kind and compassionate and humbly takes guidance on his journey to learn more about riding, training and all aspects of horsemanship. Jason has brought some great ideas and creativity to our horse community inspiring all of us to appreciate our learning process.
Adam Dunaway, Is our Farrier with "Dunaway Farrier Services". He brings an expert eye and precision to the craft of trimming and horseshoeing. He has a vast background of learning behind him along with certifications. Not only did he spend time in his background apprenticing under my former farrier of over 20 years, Pat Morris, he worked along side of other expert farriers to gain a well rounded perspective on the art of farrier work. Adam provides a comprehensive, reliable service to our horses and their owners. He has a dependable and honest approach that works well with horses, their owners, the vet, and our training program.
Kelly Robinson, Our Saddle fitter with "Optimum Saddle services". We rely on Kelly to help us keep our saddles in balance and safe working condition. Kelly's company "Optimum Saddle Services" is an independent company that is not affiliated with any specific saddle company brands, therefore she is able to provide a neutral and unbiased perspective for our horse's needs. Kelly not only has certification as a Saddle Fitter, she has apprenticed under a Certified Saddle Fitter and a Master Saddle Fitter. Kelly is trained to do complete re-flocks, billet repairs, and some saddle repairs as well.
Dr. Robert Steere DVM and his Artaurus Veterinary Clinic is our go to for any medical needs our horses may have. Dr. Steere attended UC Davis where he earned his Bachelors in Biology and then his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. He grew up in a veterinary environment, for he is a second generation large animal Vet and he started working with his father in 1995. He bought the Artaurus practice from his father, James Steere DVM, in 2000. After its purchase of he relocated the vet practice to its current location in Petaluma, California.
